The Role
We’re hiring a Kinesiologist / Exercise Physiologist to lead and support VO₂max testing and DEXA Body Composition scans, deliver clear, actionable interpretations, and help clients translate data into meaningful training and health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct VO₂max testing (treadmill and/or bike) using standardized protocols and strong safety screening
- Conduct and interpret DEXA body composition scans (all education/training provided)
- Complete pre-test screening and risk stratification (PAR-Q+/ePARmed-X+, medical intake, contraindications)
- Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot metabolic testing systems (e.g., mask fit, flow calibration, gas calibration, software workflow)
- Monitor test quality and safety during maximal and submaximal assessments (RPE, HR, symptoms, BP as appropriate)
- Deliver client-friendly debriefs and written summaries (zones, thresholds, training recommendations, health insights)
- Collaborate with internal team and (when applicable) external providers (physicians, physios, coaches)
- Maintain accurate documentation, consent forms, sanitation procedures, and equipment logs
- Support client retention via follow-up testing plans and service recommendations
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Human Kinetics, or related field
- Demonstrated hands-on experience running VO₂max testing (maximal and/or submaximal)
- Valid First Aid + CPR (Level C preferred) (required)
- Strong communication skills—able to explain physiological metrics to non-technical clients
- Professional, calm, and confident with diverse client types and comfort levels
Strongly Preferred (Top Candidates Will Have)
- CSEP-CEP designation (Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology – Clinical Exercise Physiologist)
- Experience with clinical screening, special populations, and exercise contraindications
- Experience with RMR testing, lactate testing, threshold/ventilatory threshold interpretation, and training zone prescription
- Comfortable working with older adults, beginners, and anxiety-prone clients during maximal tests
- Experience in a boutique clinic/studio environment (high service standards)

Schedule
- Flexible shifts (weekday mornings/evenings and/or Saturdays)
- Ability to add hours as demand grows
