Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
- Stay updated on new dental technologies and procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Understanding of orthodontics dentistry is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings if required.
