Your Opportunity
As a Senior Consultant within BDO's Finance Effectiveness & Transformation practice, you will play an active role in delivering complex Finance advisory engagements while helping build and scale a growing practice. You will work directly with CFOs and Finance leaders to solve critical business challenges, shape practical solutions, and support the development of market-facing offerings, methodologies, tools, accelerators, and delivery assets.

Lead workstreams across Finance advisory and transformation engagements, including Finance strategy, operating model design, process optimization, reporting modernization, FP&A, controllership effectiveness, ERP/EPM enablement, benchmarking, and CFO effectiveness.
Facilitate executive interviews, workshops, and working sessions with CFOs, Controllers, FP&A leaders, and Finance teams.
Translate business needs into practical Finance solutions with clear outcomes, sequencing, implementation paths, and change considerations.
Develop transformation roadmaps, target operating models, business cases, requirements, recommendations, and executive-ready deliverables.
Advise Finance leaders through transformation, growth, transaction, regulatory, and technology-driven change.
Support go-to-market activity, proposal development, account planning, and internal relationship-building across the firm.
Help build and scale the practice by developing methodologies, tools, accelerators, market-facing offerings, and delivery assets.
Coach and support consultants through analysis, deliverable development, stakeholder engagement, and project execution.
Collaborate with teams across Management Consulting, Digital, ERP/EPM, Risk Advisory, Tax, and other service lines to bring integrated solutions to clients.
You bring a strong CFO and Finance leader presence, with the ability to facilitate discussions, ask targeted questions, and shape practical recommendations.
You have the ability to lead workstreams, manage stakeholders, coach consultants, and deliver high-quality client outputs.
You are comfortable building new offerings, working in ambiguity, and contributing to the growth of a developing practice.
You adopt a collaborative approach to working across service lines, industries, and account teams to create integrated client solutions.
You are practical, outcome-driven, and client-centered - focused on measurable Finance outcomes and capability transfer.
You have strong communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Completed undergraduate degree with outstanding academic credentials.
An accounting designation (CPA) or relevant master's degree is preferred.
5-7 years of relevant work experience in finance or consulting.
Deep expertise in financial management disciplines, such as financial process design, budgeting and planning, financial reporting, financial performance management, analytics and data modelling, and business case development.
Experience with, or interest in, acquiring knowledge of systems and technologies that support the finance function, such as Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365, SAP, Oracle, Blackline, Workiva, etc.
Strong knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel.
Canadian travel required; occasional international travel. Candidates must be able to enter the USA to work on client assignments.
The expected range of compensation for this role is $75,000 - $113,000 annually.
