Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Outreach and Rent Subsidy Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, administration, and delivery of housing supports, rent subsidy, veterans support, and community outreach services. The Coordinator provides leadership and supervision to Outreach Workers and other assigned staff, supports program development and evaluation, fosters community partnerships, and ensures services are delivered in accordance with organizational standards, contractual requirements, and best practices. The Coordinator promotes housing stability, homelessness prevention, and successful community integration for individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

In conjunction with the Director of Operations, oversees the day-to-day operation of outreach, rent subsidy, and veteran support services by ensuring that the necessary resources are in place, program guidelines and policies are adhered to, society standards are maintained, and contract requirements are met.

Coordinates and oversees rent subsidy program administration, including client intake and eligibility review, documentation management, subsidy tracking, landlord communications, data collection, reporting, and compliance with funder and organizational requirements.

Supervises staff by performing duties such as assigning work, providing feedback on performance, and conducting performance evaluations, in coordination with the Director of Operations

Liaises with landlords, veteran-serving organizations, community service providers, funders, and other professionals to coordinate service provision, facilitate referrals, support housing stability, and represent the organization in external events.

Provides immediate support and guidance to frontline staff when dealing with clients exhibiting agitation or signs of potential violence

Orients, determines the need for, and provides training to program staff, volunteers, and practicum students

May Participates in the recruitment and selection of program staff by performing duties such as screening applicants, participating on interview panels, and making hiring recommendations.

Plans and develops community housing, outreach, veteran support, and rent subsidy services in consultation with the leadership team.

Plans, promotes, and delivers educational workshops, presentations, and community engagement activities that increase awareness of housing resources, rent subsidy programs, veteran supports, and services available to individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Formulates program procedures and evaluates services in consultation with the Director of Operations.

Monitors and authorizes program expenditures and maintains financial records in accordance with established procedures. Assists with the production of draft program budgets for submission and presentation to senior management.

Promotes public awareness of and support for housing, outreach, rent subsidy, and veteran support services by attending community events and participating in community initiatives.

Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education
-
Diploma in a related human / social service field.
Training and Experience
-
Three (3) years recent related experience including one (1) year supervisory or administrative experience. Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
