Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth office operations. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, along with knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics, is highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and efficient workflow
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
- Provide patient education on oral health practices and post-treatment care
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries as a dental receptionist when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment in compliance with safety protocols
- Support patients throughout their visit, ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns
Experience
- Certified Dental Assistant with current licensure or certification required
- Prior experience working in a dental office, preferably with pediatric or orthodontic specialties
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including taking x-rays and working with dental CAD systems
- Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Epic and Dentrix is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry is essential
- Experience working as a dental receptionist or in administrative roles within a healthcare setting is advantageous
- Strong understanding of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures is beneficial
