Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, educate clients on product offerings, and ensure a welcoming and professional environment. This role requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to manage retail transactions efficiently. The Budtender will serve as a key ambassador for our brand, assisting customers in making informed choices while maintaining compliance with all regulations. Fluency in English, along with experience in cannabis retail sales, hospitality, or related fields.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance based on their needs and preferences
- Educate clients on product types, effects, dosages, and usage instructions in a clear and professional manner
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory management
- Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the store environment is clean and inviting
- Manage inventory levels through filing, stock replenishment, and record keeping using computer skills such as Microsoft Excel
- Handle cash register operations with precision, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations
- Assist customers with product selection by leveraging strong communication skills and product knowledge
- Uphold compliance with all legal regulations related to retail cannabis sales
- Support team leadership by demonstrating organizational skills and time management during busy shifts
Experience
- Prior experience in Cannabis retail sales, hospitality, or customer service is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and computer operation skills are essential
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic math calculations is required
- Experience with upselling techniques and merchandising strategies will be advantageous
- Ability to handle heavy lifting when necessary for stock movement or inventory management
- Need to have Selling It Right certificate
- Strong organizational skills combined with excellent communication skills are critical for success in this role
