Position Summary
We are a proudly owned Canadian steel service center located in the Niagara area looking for an experienced Inside Sales Representative to join our fast paced team of sales professionals. This individual will be responsible for growing our current customer base as well as nurturing new opportunities.
Position Functions
- Build and develop strong relationships with our customers and other industry professionals.
- Excellent time management skills.
- The ability to collaborate with internal departments to ensure we are meeting customer expectations.
- Able to read drawings and specifications is an asset.
- Work closely with the outside sales team to identify opportunities and develop strategies through the sharing of information on a daily basis.
- Generate proposals and provide customer estimates.
- Follow up of proposals and recording the information in our platform from those discussions.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure prompt order fulfillment.
- Take a pro-active approach in calling customers to solicit new business opportunities.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process addressing any needs in a prompt matter.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
- Attend company industry networking events and client meetings as required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions
The successful incumbent will be working 40+ hours per week in an office setting.

- Background in construction sales would be considered an asset
