At the Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant we are proud to offer renowned world class service. Our servers are expected to provide meal recommendations and basic wine pairing suggestions, as well as educate guests about ingredients in dishes being served. Events are often held at the restaurant where servers are required to serve banquet style meals and work with large parties, and assist with event setup both inside the restaurant and on the lawn. Servers should be professional and engaging while interacting with guests, have full menu knowledge, and provide accurate completion of billing, and have the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills an asset.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of fine dining restaurant experience required, or 3 years serving experience.
- A diploma in hospitality management is an asset but not required.
- Basic wine knowledge
- Food and beverage knowledge
- Fine dining etiquette dining knowledge
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
- Remain on your feet for extended periods of time
- Stay calm under pressure.
- Problem solving and decision making skills.
- Responsible and trustworthy
- Excellent people skills and a guest oriented personality is an asset
- Must obtain a valid pro-serve
- Provide own vehicle to get to and from work
We are offering Part-time to Full-time positions. Friday and Saturday evening availability is a must.
