A busy Family Health Organization (FHO) multidisciplinary medical centre in Scarborough is seeking an experienced Clinic Manager to oversee daily operations and support the continued growth of the clinic. The centre includes multiple physicians and allied health professionals and is focused on providing high-quality, comprehensive patient care.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of healthcare management experience, preferably in a busy FHO or primary care clinic, and will be responsible for clinic operations, staff leadership, physician coordination, and business development.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinic Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the medical clinic
- Ensure smooth clinic workflow and patient experience
- Manage exam room readiness, supplies, and clinic facilities
- Oversee scheduling systems and appointment management
- Coordinate administrative processes and office procedures
Staff & Physician Management
- Supervise, schedule, and support administrative and clinical staff
- Hire, train, and delegate responsibilities to clinic staff
- Coordinate physician schedules and clinic coverage
- Act as liaison between physicians, staff, and management
- Maintain a positive and professional team environment
Billing & Administration
- Manage OHIP billing, submissions, and reconciliation
- Oversee EMR operations (OSCAR experience preferred)
- Manage payroll coordination and end-of-day financial reconciliation
- Maintain records, documentation, and regulatory compliance
Business Development & Growth
- Support recruitment of new family physicians and specialists
- Assist with expansion of services (e.g., specialist clinics, allied health services)
- Identify opportunities to grow the clinic and improve patient access to care
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in healthcare or medical clinic management
- Experience managing FHO or primary care clinics preferred
- Strong knowledge of OHIP billing and EMR systems (OSCAR preferred)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication
- Computer proficiency (MS Office, EMR systems)
Asset (Not Mandatory):
- Experience in Medical Laboratory procedures (Phlebotomy, etc.)
