IntelliStaff Medical is seeking Physical Therapists for multiple full-time permanent opportunities across outpatient rehabilitation, sports medicine, inpatient rehabilitation, pediatric rehabilitation, and home health settings. Qualifications of a Physical Therapist
- Active Physical Therapist license in the applicable state or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Additional Requirements for Canadian Applicants
- Canadian citizenship required.
- English language proficiency required.
- Foreign Credentialing Commission on Physical Therapy credential evaluation completed or in progress.
- Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination.
- Valid VisaScreen Certificate required for TN visa eligibility.
Responsibilities and Duties of a Physical Therapist
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations using patient history, observation, objective testing, and clinical assessment techniques.
- Develop individualized treatment plans focused on reducing pain, restoring function, improving mobility, and preventing disability.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, developmental, and functional impairments.
- Establish measurable goals and monitor patient progress throughout the rehabilitation process.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, home exercise programs, and long-term wellness strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including evaluations, re-evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor Physical Therapist Assistants and rehabilitation support staff as appropriate.
- Participate in continuing education, competency development, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental projects.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
