Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook/Kitchen Hand to join our team. This role involves supporting food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to food safety and guest satisfaction.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation and cooking to meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Support the kitchen team with meal assembly and plating
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste
- Handle food safely and adhere to hygiene standards at all times
- Restock supplies and ensure kitchen equipment is functioning properly
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and hygiene practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Kitchen experience including food preparation, cooking, serving, and cleaning tasks
- Customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and colleagues
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
