Silver Star Line Marking is hiring a casual crew member to join our seasonal line painting and crack sealing team. Our main season runs from April to October each year (sometimes March to November depending on weather), with returning opportunities each season.
This position is best suited for someone looking for flexible extra income rather than guaranteed full-time hours.
What to Expect

- Some shifts may be 2 hours, while others can run 10+ hours
- Start times can range from early mornings to late evenings
- Some weeks may have multiple shifts, while other periods may be slower

Job Details
- Starting wage: $20/hr (raises based on performance and responsibilities)
- Training provided — no experience required
- Work includes:
- Line painting and crack sealing
- Prepping work areas using blowers and power brushes
- Placing stencils and taping
- Setting up cone zones
- Loading and unloading equipment
- Learning to operate paint machines over time
Requirements
- Comfortable with lots of walking, bending, and physical movement throughout shifts
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in the heat
- Reliable transportation within Vernon
- Able to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision
- Organized and able to put tools and equipment back where they belong
- Comfortable with changing schedules and project-based hours
- Positive attitude and able to stay professional when dealing with clients or the public
- Being able to drive a pickup with a trailer is a bonus but not required

This is a casual seasonal position with project-based scheduling. Hours are not guaranteed week to week, so this role is best for someone looking for extra income with flexible availability.
