Part Time Dietary Aide
Reports to: Food Service Manager
Qualifications:
- Safe Food Handling Certificate (asset)
- Experience in quantity food service (asset)
- Familiar with HACCP, WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety
- Ensure sanitation regulations pertaining to food preparation and handling are followed
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Be able to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
- Be able to follow through on a job from start to finish, troubleshoot, prioritize and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience working with seniors, preferably in a retirement residence or long term care setting (asset)
- Previous food service experience an asset
- Willingness to keep up-to-date on various legislation and laws that affect your duties.
- Clear Criminal Record Check / Vulnerable Persons Sector Screen (dated within 10 months prior to employment start date).
- Provide clear TB skin test results (dated within 14 days prior to start of employment).
General Duties:
- Serving Food and Beverages
- Providing kind and efficient customer service
- Departmental and station cleaning
- Assist with the monitoring of resident presence and eating habits
- Clear tables, load and operate dishwasher and complete manual ware washing as required
- Adhere to established policies and procedures and participate in fire and safety programs
Must be available to work all shift times: 6am-2pm, 7am-3pm, 12pm-8pm, 4pm-8pm.
Must have own transportation.
Must be available to work weekdays and every other weekend.
Pay: From $17.77 per hour
