Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our café project for the season (May–October).
This role focuses on supporting daily kitchen operations, maintaining cleanliness, and helping ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. While this is primarily a back-of-house role, you will be part of a team that values care, quality, and a positive atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation and kitchen tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times
- Wash dishes and ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and stored
- Support setup and closing duties
- Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
- Step in to support other areas when needed
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen or food service experience is an asset
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Reliable and punctual
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Basic understanding of food safety practices
