Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Conveyancer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing property transactions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and providing exceptional customer service to clients. The Conveyancer will be responsible for handling various aspects of Real Estate law, including documentation, preparation of documentation, and client communication.
Responsibilities
- Manage and process property transactions from inception to completion, including preparing and reviewing legal documents

- Liaise with clients, solicitors, estate agents, assistants, paralegals and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth conveyancing processes
- Conduct analysis of property titles, searches, and legal documentation to identify potential issues
- Preparation of documentation relating to transactions of Purchases, Sales & Refinances
- Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, transfer deeds, and settlement statements with accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain organized filing systems for all transaction-related documents, both physical and electronic
- Conducting BC Online Searches, BC Assessments & Company searches, etc.
- Managing closings of purchase and sale transactions
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies throughout all stages of conveyancing
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, rebranding documents and templates to Brookswood Notaries, tracking deadlines, and preparing reports as needed
- Assisting with preparing estate planning documents including Transfers and Transmissions of Property
Skills
- Minimum of 3-4 years of conveyancing experience is a must
- Completion of Legal Assistant or Conveyancing Program
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret legal documents and identify potential issues or discrepancies
- Prior administrative experience is preferred to manage documentation and maintain organized files efficiently
- Writing skills necessary for drafting clear, precise legal correspondence and documentation
- Knowledge of legal drafting standards related to property law is advantageous
- Exceptional organizational skills to handle multiple transactions simultaneously while meeting deadlines

- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
- Proficiency in filing systems for both physical records and digital databases to ensure easy retrieval of documents
- Ability to complete sale, purchase. refinance and transfer files from start to finish
- Experience using Prosuite, LTSA, BC Online, AtSource, Stewart Assyst, etc.
