Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Tree Cutting / Felling Labourer for a temporary position on an acreage 15 minutes outside Saskatoon. This role involves assisting with tree cutting, removal and log stacking. The position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in forestry and horticulture operations, working outdoors in a physically demanding environment. Candidates should be prepared to work efficiently and adhere to safety protocols while contributing to project success.
Responsibilities
- Conduct safe felling and removal of trees using appropriate tools and techniques
- Operate equipment such as chainsaws and other machinery as needed for tree access and removal
- Support landscape maintenance activities, including clearing debris and maintaining work sites
- Maintain safety standards by wearing protective gear and following safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Physically fit and able to handle demanding outdoor labour (lifting, dragging, working on uneven ground)
- Chainsaw experience is critical.
- Must have reliable transportation to the acreage
- Own steel-toe boots and work gloves (chainsaw chaps are highly recommended)
- Safety-conscious and dependable
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Pay: $25.00 per hour
