We are looking for a Tire & Lube Technician to come join the Performance Kia team. Apprenticeship available for qualified candidates. You will be responsible for:
- Performing lube, oil and filter changes
- Removing, installing, rotating and tire balances
- Performing minor repairs, maintenance, and inspections under management supervision
- Participating in safe, environmentally sound and healthy work practices at all times
- Assisting Technicians, Supervisors and Lead hands as directed
- Ensuring the shop area is always kept clean - garbage pickup, snow clearing, parts and tooling organization and other tasks as required
- Pick-up and delivery of parts and other items as requested
- Maintaining good customer relations
- Complying with company and customer health and safety policies and procedures
- Storing, removing and cataloguing customer summer and winter tires
- Emptying garbage and recycle bins
- Assisting with all general shop clean-up duties
- Delivering vehicles, if applicable
- Other duties as required
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge or understanding of the automobile industry an asset
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required.
- Valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail
