The Opportunity
Field/Process Engineer (2 Positions available)
We are seeking two highly motivated and detail-oriented Field / Process Engineers to join our growing engineering and manufacturing team. The successful candidates will play a key role in supporting machine builds, troubleshooting fabrication and assembly challenges, coordinating project execution activities, and ensuring manufacturing documentation and quality processes are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with Project Managers, engineering teams, fabrication personnel, and assembly teams while supporting innovative automated machine build projects from concept through final execution.
The ideal individual for this position must possess the following:
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor and 3D modeling
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and manufacturing documentation
- Understanding of electrical schematics considered an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent multitasking, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to investigate and resolve design, fabrication, and assembly-related issues during machine builds
- Ability to work closely with Project Managers and support project execution activities
- Experience with shipping layouts, pallet design, and shipping preparation considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance processes
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
Brief Summary of the Positions' Primary Responsibilities
- Support active machine builds throughout fabrication, assembly, and commissioning phases
- Investigate and assist in resolving design, fabrication, and assembly-related issues
- Review and interpret mechanical drawings, manufacturing documentation, and engineering specifications
- Assist with maintaining accurate as-built documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate and track progress of ongoing machine build activities
- Support quality inspections and ensure documentation is completed accurately and on time
- Work closely with Project Managers to support project execution, timelines, and deliverables
- Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and assembly teams to ensure project requirements are met
- Assist with shipping layouts, pallet design, and shipping preparation activities as required
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to support manufacturing efficiency and quality standards
- Prepare reports and provide project updates to internal stakeholders
Required Experience, Education and Qualifications
- Required: Experience in manufacturing, automation, or machine build environments
- Preferred: Experience using Autodesk Inventor and 3D modeling software
- Required: Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and manufacturing processes
- Required: Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma, Engineering degree, or related technical education considered an asset
- Required: Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Required: Clear Criminal Record Check
