About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Technician with an electrical background. An understanding in Basic Automation and I&C is also an asset. The successful candidate will assist with a variety of electrical, shop-related tasks, supporting ongoing projects and assembly work. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support electrical and automation system setup, testing, and troubleshooting
- Assist in basic installation of instrumentation and controls (I&C) work and integration tasks (This is not advanced controls)
- Participate in shop and field projects, including assembly and wiring
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Reports to the Production Manager with operation reporting to Lead Assembler
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical, automation, or instrumentation & controls (I&C) or any related fields
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License/Reliable transportation to and from work
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Students with relevant education or co-op experience are welcome to apply
