Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Warehouse Shipper/Receiver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper inventory control, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, shipping & receiving processes, and equipment operation, including forklifts and reach trucks. Prior warehouse experience, especially in e-commerce or distribution environments, is highly valued. The Warehouse Shipper/Receiver plays a critical role in supporting order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and overall warehouse productivity.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment
- Pick and pack orders accurately according to order specifications
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, including packaging and labeling according to company standards
- Receive incoming goods, verify quantities against purchase orders, and document receipt in the system
- Maintain organized storage areas to facilitate efficient order picking and inventory management
- Conduct basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and weight verification
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy
- Follow safety procedures during all warehouse activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Support warehouse distribution operations to meet daily shipping deadlines
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience in shipping & receiving or distribution preferred
- Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment required; certification preferred
- Knowledge of order fulfillment processes within e-commerce or warehouse distribution environments
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and packaging tasks
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures
Pay: $17.60-$18.60 per hour
