We are looking for a self-motivated, resourceful and target-oriented Recruiting Specialist to join our team in Steinbach, MB.
Responsibilities:
- Source and select prospective applicants for professional driving positions and provide information about pay packages, benefits, equipment, hiring and training processes.
- Field inquiries from prospective applicants via telephone, email, social media applications and in person.
- Continually promote the company positively to both the candidates and the current drivers, be present at company events and be a positive ambassador.
- Process applications in accordance with regulations and company policy, including reference checks, interviews, and employment verification.
- Review and evaluate driver applicants and provide information on orientation and training.
- Make travel arrangements and accommodations for new driver hires.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality with applicant personal information and legal documentation.
- Foster a relationship with new drivers and encourage their participation in referral program.
- Collaborative efforts to compare recruitment strategies and training efforts to ensure we are competitive and innovative.
- Partner with department to schedule road tests and receive feedback for candidates
- Social media branding, creative posting, management of communication on platforms.
- International Drivers Settlement Assistance
REQUIREMENTS:
- Detail orientated
- Team player
- Organized and works effectively under pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Recruiting/Talent Acquisition experience preferred
- International recruiting experience a plus
- Transportation specific experience a plus
