We’re looking for a dependable and safety-driven Shunt Truck Driver to join our team. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for both yard trailer movement and securing flatbed loads—playing a key part in keeping operations running safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a shunt truck to move trailers safely and efficiently within the yard
- Spot trailers at docks and designated locations as directed by dispatch or yard management
- Inspect trailers before and after movement to ensure safe operation
- Secure loads on flatbed trailers using straps, chains, binders, and tarps as required
- Verify load stability and compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Assist with yard organization and maintain clear traffic flow
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, drivers, and warehouse staff
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license (AZ/DZ considered an asset)
- Previous experience operating a shunt truck or similar equipment preferred
- Experience with flatbed load securement (chains, straps, tarping) is required
- Strong understanding of load securement regulations and safety practices
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, and securing loads
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
