Job Overview:
Seeking an individual with a strong administrative background whom is also well versed in sales. We require a dynamic and results-oriented salesperson to support the expansion of our kelp-based product lines. Your background will include strong sales experience as well as knowledge of distribution networks, supplier compliance, 3PL, and supply chain management. You will support the Founder with Partner and Member engagement, and ensure that communications from the business are timely and professional. This position will require professional writing in the form of grants, newsletters and marketing material.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, a passion for sustainability, and an in-depth understanding of the CPG and value-added foods industries. On-the-job training and exposure to product knowledge will be provided, after which it is expected that this role will work independently to fulfill orders and to rotate an extensive inventory.
This position requires a full-time, in person commitment from Sooke, B.C. Many of our staff commute from Victoria and Langford as well as live in Sooke.
Duties:
- Identify potential customers and drive engagement
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Management to create effective strategies for business development.
Experience:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies.
- Strong knowledge of distribution networks across various industries
