Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscaper to join our outdoor maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the beauty and functionality of various outdoor spaces. This role requires a strong understanding of horticulture, landscape maintenance, and construction techniques to ensure the highest standards of landscape presentation and safety. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions and possess mechanical knowledge to operate various tools and equipment effectively.
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and fertilizing to keep outdoor areas aesthetically pleasing.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for excavation or grading projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas.
- Use hand tools and power tools for planting, pruning, edging, and other landscaping activities.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with construction projects such as retaining walls, pathways, or garden beds.
- Maintain cleanliness of work sites by removing debris and ensuring safe working conditions.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute landscape designs or improvements.
Qualifications
- Experience with gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining landscape equipment such as excavators, power tools, and irrigation systems.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction and landscaping tasks.
- Knowledge of irrigation installation and repair techniques.
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting heavy materials, digging, planting, and operating machinery.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards.
- Prior experience in construction or outdoor maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions.
