Our client, a high-end retirement residence is seeking a dynamic and compassionate General Manager / Director of Wellness to lead clinical operations, resident services, and overall community excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and oversight for the retirement residence, ensuring exceptional resident care, service delivery, and operational excellence
- Lead and support clinical, wellness, hospitality, and operational teams to maintain a high-quality resident experience
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and resident-focused culture throughout the community
- Ensure compliance with RHRA standards, applicable legislation, policies, and best practices
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, team development, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives
- Support occupancy goals through strong community presence, relationship building, tours, and family engagement
- Monitor and manage budgets, operational performance, and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure excellence in resident wellness programs, care planning, medication management, and service coordination
- Maintain strong communication with residents, families, physicians, and external partners
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on resident satisfaction, team culture, and operational efficiencies
- Support emergency preparedness, infection prevention & control practices, and health and safety initiatives
- Promote a luxury hospitality environment that prioritizes dignity, respect, independence, and personalized care
Qualifications
- Previous leadership experience within Retirement Living, Long-Term Care, Hospitality, or Healthcare Operations
- Strong understanding of retirement home operations and resident wellness programs
- Knowledge of RHRA standards and applicable retirement home legislation
- Demonstrated experience leading interdisciplinary teams and managing day-to-day operations
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Financial and operational management experience considered an asset
- Ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and community partners
- Passion for resident-centered care and creating an exceptional resident experience
- RN, RPN, or healthcare leadership background considered a strong asset
