Raise is currently hiring a Construction Manager on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Construction Manager in this role will lead the construction of medium-sized projects with medium-to-high complexity. This role is pivotal in ensuring projects are completed safely, with top-tier quality, within budget, and strictly on schedule. You will act as a driving force behind multidisciplinary teams, bridging the gap between field personnel and senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Project & Resource Management

Provide end-to-end project management for diverse teams consisting of employees, external consultants, and contractors.

Manage financial, material, and human resources effectively using advanced technical skills in construction methodologies, estimating, and contract management.

Program Oversight: Supervise programs executed by consultants and contractors, ensuring seamless coordination with internal clients and stakeholders.

Identify system gaps, program implementation flaws, or training needs. Collaborate with Project Senior Leadership to implement or improve operational processes and technologies.

Safety, Risk & Compliance

Prioritize safe work execution. Perform, document, and provide constructive feedback on Safe Work Observations to continuously improve ’s safety performance.

Lead the development and implementation of Capital Construction programs, specifically focusing on contractor safety and high-risk work controls.

Identify, analyze, and continuously monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle to develop proactive mitigation plans.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

Act as a trusted advisor to Senior Management, field personnel, staff, and contractors to positively influence project outcomes.

Facilitate Construction Management forums, training sessions, onboarding, and bootcamps (e.g., Prime Contractor, Qualified Coordinator).

Respond to internal and third-party construction inquiries, maintaining collaborative, positive relationships with stakeholders and First Nations.
Qualifications
-
5 years of dedicated construction management experience or equivalent.

Experience providing project management for multidisciplinary teams (employees, consultants, contractors).

Proven ability to lead and influence in complex, multi‑employer construction environments.

Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and technical direction to construction professionals.

Experience implementing or improving operational processes and technologies to enhance business performance.

Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, adaptable to audiences from field staff to senior management.

Proven experience organizing, modeling, and translating data into actionable insights and strategic reporting.

Strong leadership, relationship management, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.

Strong project management, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
-
Strong presentation and negotiation abilities.

Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License in good standing.

Education and Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Good working knowledge of project management
Additional Information
- Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.

Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network.
