The Opportunity
We are seeking a WorkSafe BC Advanced First Aid Attendant for a full-time, permanent position supporting an active industrial project in Kamloops. This is an excellent opportunity for an OFA/AFA professional who wants to work in a combined first aid and security role within a well-supported industrial site environment.
We are particularly interested in candidates who hold a valid WorkSafe BC Advanced First Aid (AFA) or OFA Level 3 certificate and who are curious about expanding into the security side of site operations. If you're an AFA professional who has ever considered adding a BC Security Worker Licence to your credentials—or who already holds one—we'd love to hear from you!
If you are the right candidate, WPA will support your BC Security Worker certification and cover the cost of your basic security training.
About the Role
This position operates at the intersection of occupational first aid and industrial security. Primary duties include administering first aid within WorkSafe BC AFA scope of practice, visitor check-ins, PPE orientation, site access management, incident documentation, and radio communications. Once licensed for Security duties, you would be assisting with CCTV monitoring, site patrols, and access control. Candidates must be proficient with Windows OS and Microsoft Office, and be comfortable learning and operating site-specific technology and software. If you thrive in a structured, technology-supported environment where you'll be making a direct difference in workplace safety, this role is a strong fit.
