Trinity Energy Group is one of Atlantic Canada's leading Building Envelope and Passive Fire Protection contractors. We are currently seeking an experienced Firestopping Supervisor to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, leadership, and delivering projects to the highest industry standards.
As a Firestopping Supervisor, you will lead crews on commercial, institutional, healthcare, industrial, and multi-unit residential projects throughout Atlantic Canada while ensuring installations comply with manufacturer requirements, engineering judgments, and applicable building codes.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead firestopping crews on commercial construction projects with guidance of Firestopping Manager.
- Coordinate daily activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Read and interpret manufacturer firestop systems.
- Ensure all firestopping installations comply with tested systems, Engineering Judgments (EJs) provided.
- Complete quality control inspections and verify installations meet Trinity's standards.
- Coordinate with Firestopping Manager, and General Contractors on site.
- Complete daily reports, productivity tracking, and required project documentation.
- Identify deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly.
- Promote and enforce Trinity's health and safety policies and procedures.
- Mentor, train, and develop firestopping installers.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and inventory.
- Advise Firestopping Manager when materials are required.
- Travel throughout Atlantic Canada as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in firestopping an asset.
- Knowledge of passive fire protection systems preferred,
- Experience with manufacturers such as Hilti, 3M, and STI an asset.
- Ability to interpret firestop separation plans and firestop details preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel throughout Atlantic Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturer certifications (Hilti, 3M, STI, RectorSeal, etc.) (asset but not required)
