Reporting to the Equipment and Operations Manager, the Supply Chain Coordinator will support purchasing, inventory control, shipping and receiving operations, and logistics across all departments and branches. This role is responsible for sourcing and ordering parts and supplies, maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating shipments, and ensuring timely and cost-effective processes. The position plays a key role in improving purchasing and inventory processes while supporting day-to-day operational needs.
Responsibilities Include
- Purchase parts, materials, and supplies for all departments and branches.
- Write PO’s, develop procedures and create templates to standardize processes.
- Support in forecasting inventory needs and determining purchasing requirements based on usage and demand.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, pricing, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability, quality, and competitive pricing.
- Communicate with suppliers to place, confirm, adjust, and follow up on purchase orders.
- Seek bulk purchasing opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
- Prepare and coordinate customs documentation and liaise with customs agents.
- Support improvements to purchasing, inventory, and distribution processes.
- Coordinate receiving, storage, and shipment of parts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including receiving, stock levels, adjustments, and shipments using inventory systems.
- Monitor stock levels, reorder points, and assist with inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Complete shipping and receiving activities; including order picking as required.
- Assuming other duties and supporting in other areas as required
Qualifications
- Diploma or post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, warehousing, or logistics coordination.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, vendor management, and inventory systems.
- Experience with Wasp inventory system and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with inventory management, warehousing, shipping, and transportation processes.
- Knowledge of shipping documentation and customs processes is an asset, including cross-border shipping and coordination of customs documentation.
