Element Refrigeration currently has an exciting opportunity for a 3rd yr, 4th yr or Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic within our growing company.
As the Refrigeration Mechanic you will provide high-quality workmanship while servicing equipment in the commercial and industrial environment.
Duties
Service clients within commercial and industrial environments such as supermarkets, commercial buildings and restaurants, etc.
Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning systems and components
Install and calibrate related controls (including wiring)
Maintain clean and operable equipment, vehicle and work area at all times
Troubleshoot systems, suggesting corrective actions and sourcing parts
When there is a malfunction, diagnose the problem and fix the unit by replacing or repairing controls, electric wiring or other parts
Complete the required daily equipment inspections, safety reports, and Field Level Hazard Assessments.

Mechanical aptitude and technical expertise as a Refrigeration and HVAC Journeyman

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, comfortable in dealing with vendors, suppliers, and co-workers

Experience & Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following:
Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic (Red Seal)
High School Diploma
Experience in supermarket installation and service
Valid class 5 driver’s license with an acceptable 5 year driving abstract
Valid safety certifications such as First Aid, WHMIS, TDG, CSTS, PSTS, Fall Protection, AWP, H2S Alive, considered an asset
Proof of permanent residency
Gas ticket is an asset
