Micro printing ltd. is a well-established printing company located in Mississauga. Company offers offset printing, digital printing and wide format printing. The in-house finishing operations include cutting, folding, stitching, perfect bound, die-cutting and gluing. Currently, we are looking for an experienced print estimator with minimum of 5 years experience.
Duties and responsibilities of the job:
Give estimates to the customers (current and prospective), after calculating the labor and material costs of the job.
Thoroughly read the project detail, make key notes on the production process required for every job. Prepare production plan , which will be most cost effective and meet customer’s job quality requirements
Submit quotes within the deadlines given by the customers
Work closely with the sales and purchasing department, stay up to date about the current market prices of raw materials and selling price of the finished product in the market
Follow up on given estimates and send revised quotes if customer would like to make changes on job specs.
Check outside printing/ bindery costs, and make decision regarding outsourcing the jobs. Calculate company’s profit margin in particular job
Qualifications required:
Excellent customer service skills and detail oriented, read job specifications thoroughly
before estimating.
Minimum 5 years of experience in printing industry is required
Must have good mathematical skills
Should be able to make plan and organize particular project, issue guidelines to the
personnel to get work done in cost effective way without losing the quality of the job.
Must be able to work under pressure and in fast paced work environment
Good team player and goal oriented
Must have thorough knowledge of offset printing and printing industry terminologies.
