The Department of Political Science is inviting applications for a course lecturer position to teach in Fall 2026. Please include your Cover Letter and Curriculum Vitae and if applicable a copy of your Study/Work Permit. A brief course outline is optional.
POLI 448-001 Gender and International Relations (3 Credits - CAP 80)
The course will help students deepen their understanding of international relations by introducing them to gender analysis of global politics and feminist approaches to international relations. Part one examines gender-sensitive and feminist theories in international relations research. The second part then applies these approaches to a range of substantive issues including security, violence, peacebuilding, international law and political economy.
Teaching Qualification Requirements:
A completed PhD degree or enrolled in a doctoral program in Political Science or a discipline related to the course;
Provide evidence of effective teaching ability as a result of having successfully taught a similar course;
The candidate's area of specialization must be as close as possible to that of the course being offered;
Experience as a teaching assistant for a course is an asset.
Monday and Wednesday 01:05 pm-02:25 pm, August 31, 2026 – December 4, 2026. Location: ENGMC 11.
Salary: $11,824 per course.
