Responsibilities
- Safely operate your own commercial vehicle to transport freight to various destinations
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and optimize fuel usage
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any unforeseen issues
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation laws and safety regulations
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance or coordinate repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability
Experience
- Proven experience as an Owner Operator Driver or similar role in freight transportation
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle operated
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and route planning
- Excellent driving record with a clean background check and pass drug screening requirements
- Ability to operate various types of commercial vehicles with proficiency and safety awareness
- Prior experience in logistics or freight management is a plus but not mandatory
