About the Role:
As a Registered Pharmacy Technician, you'll work alongside our pharmacists to provide safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services while practicing to your full scope under New Brunswick regulations.
This position includes a variety of technical and clinical responsibilities and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health of the communities we serve.
The successful candidate will work primarily from one of our pharmacies but must be willing to support both our Hartland and Florenceville-Bristol locations as operational needs require. Evening and weekend shifts are shared through a rotating schedule.
What You'll Do:
- Receive and transcribe verbal prescriptions from authorized prescribers
- Prepare, package, compound, and accurately process prescriptions
- Perform final prescription checks in accordance with regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate patient medication records
- Administer injections and immunizations within your scope of practice
- Support pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate clearly with patients
- Ensure compliance with privacy legislation, professional standards, and pharmacy policies
- Contribute to a collaborative, positive team environment while supporting day-to-day pharmacy operations
What We're Looking For:
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician or bridging program
- Registration and good standing with the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A collaborative, patient-first mindset
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to embrace change
- Working knowledge of pharmacy software, drug plans, and pharmacy operations
- Compounding experience is considered an asset
