Position Overview:
As a Shipper/Receiver, your primary responsibilities will include assisting with the receiving and stocking of inventory, ensuring accurate stock counts, and providing support to customers during the product loading process. This role is ideal for individuals who are organized, physically capable of handling stock items, and customer-focused.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming stock items, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with the procurement specialist to organize and store stock in designated locations.
- Perform regular stock counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Provide support to customers during the bag material receiving process, ensuring a positive and efficient experience.
- Assist in packaging and labeling items for shipment as needed.
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth flow of materials within the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is an asset.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items and perform physical tasks as required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused attitude with a willingness to assist and engage with customers.
- Forklift experience would be prerequisite to the job.
