We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Analyst and QC to join a food manfcaturing team. As a Quality Assurance Analyst and QC, you will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the highest quality standards. You will play a crucial role in identifying and resolving any issues or defects in the food products, as well as implementing quality control measures to prevent future problems.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental swabbing (routine and Listeria) on plant equipment.
- Performs quality assurance checks / inspections to ensure all procedures are fully implemented.
- Monitor the plant for GMPs, SOPs, personal hygiene, product handling for temperatures (raw materials, in process, or finished), storage, rotation, weights, shapes and other product specifications, as well as HACCP requirements.
- Daily sign off HACCP prerequisite and CCP documentation, temp checks, label checks, metal detection checks, raw material inspection checks, onsite FG product checks, calibration of thermometers/scales etc.…
- Assist with investigation of consumer/customer complaints and processing deviations.
- Train staff in GMPs/SOPs as required.
- Perform quality inspections on incoming materials, components, and finished products
- Utilize calipers and other measurement tools to ensure product dimensions meet specifications
- Conduct fabricating tests to evaluate product performance and durability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality control processes
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain documentation of quality assurance procedures and protocols
- Participate in internal audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
- Investigate customer complaints or concerns related to product quality
Skills and Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in a food related field of study; (preferred)
- Knowledge of safe food handling, GMPs, food plant sanitation, HACCP; (preferred)
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures. (Required)
- Computer literacy: intermediate level spreadsheets, word processing, and internet; (required)
- Analytical decision making and problem- solving skills. (required)
- Ability to work overtime/flexibility for working any shift and Sunday work
- Accessible by Public transport
- Excellent training provided
- Strong knowledge of quality inspection techniques and methodologies
- Experience with quality control processes, including QA/QC methodologies
- Proficient in data collection and analysis using statistical tools
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of quality management systems and industry regulations
