As a tutor and mentor with Scholars Education Centre, you will be responsible for providing superior individualized academic support to students. You are joining a dynamic team that wants you to make a difference for each student with who you have the opportunity of working.
Essential Job Functions
- Instruct students (JK-grade 8) in reading, writing, and math.
- Accurately provide reporting regarding student progress
- Prepare teaching materials when applicable
- Attend training workshops as needed
- Complete administrative tasks when required
- Achieve Real Life Results for each student! Follow, adapt, and provide feedback regarding each student’s individual Goal Sheet – our guideline and benchmark for providing individual success for each student we work with.
Requirements
- OCT designation or ECE (working towards or completed)
- Experienced and educated in the background of tutoring/mentoring
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work both as a part of a team and independently
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities
- Previous experience with students in a teaching or tutoring environment
- Excellent organizational skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
