*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled, Flooring Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of flooring materials in residential and commercial settings. We work on a turnaround basis meaning, being in Hay River for a few week period and then returning home when jobs are completed until multiple jobs are scheduled again. Accommodations and fuel provided while on location. Paid piece work, rates vary depending on materials being laid.
*Duties*
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas
-Must be able to install various types of underlayment material
-Must be able to work with and apply all floor preparation material ie: patch/leveler
- Must be able to install flooring materials such as carpet, carpet tile, laminate, vinyl plank, tile and commercial sheet goods with heat welding
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete installations
- Perform tasks related to building and finishing floors
- Conduct repairs and replacements as needed
- Apply caulking and grout for finishing touches
*Qualifications*
- Proven experience as a Flooring Installer or similar role, Red Seal candidates will be given priority
- Knowledge of various flooring materials and installation techniques
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
