Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finish Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in carpentry, woodworking, and finishing work, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role involves completing high-quality interior and exterior finish work on residential, commercial, or restoration projects. The Finish Carpenter will collaborate with project managers, other trades, and clients to ensure precise craftsmanship and timely project completion.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute projects.
- Install cabinetry, flooring, tile, siding, and other finish elements with precision.
- Perform restoration work including refinishing and repairing existing structures.
- Use hand tools, power tools
- Measure and cut materials accurately to specifications for various carpentry tasks.
- Assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, roofing, and siding as needed.
- Apply construction painting, caulking, and sealing techniques to ensure quality finishes.
- Conduct masonry work such as bricklaying or stonework when required.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely throughout the job site.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry, woodworking, or related construction fields.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings effectively.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other relevant equipment.
- Knowledge of concrete forming, masonry, roofing, siding installation, and tile laying is preferred.
- Experience with cabinetry installation and construction painting is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights if necessary.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Valid construction experience credentials or relevant certifications are preferred.
- Good physical condition with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual labor as required.
