Learmont Roofing is a commercial roofing company. We're growing our field team and looking for an experienced flat roofing professional to join us.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Flat Roofing Technician with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial low-slope roofing systems. This is a full-time, non-unionized position offering a competitive compensation package and a clear path for long-term growth.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial flat roofing systems (EPDM, TPO, modified bitumen, BUR, etc.)
- Perform roof inspections and identify areas requiring repair or replacement
- Read and interpret scope-of-work documents and job specifications
- Work safely at heights and follow all applicable OHSA/site safety protocols
- Operate roofing tools and equipment (torches, hot air welders, kettles, etc. as applicable)
- Communicate professionally with site contacts, property managers, and crew leads
- Travel to job sites across Southern Ontario as needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial flat/low-slope roofing
- Working knowledge of major roofing systems (EPDM, TPO, SBS/modified bitumen, built-up roofing)
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
- Roofing-related certifications (e.g., Working at Heights, WHMIS) considered an asset
