Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment to support our operations. This role requires attention to safety, efficiency, and precision to ensure smooth daily operations and the safe operation of heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Excavator/ Dozer heavy machinery, and other equipment safely and efficiently. Must be able to follow grade work.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of cargo according to safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functioning and safety compliance.
- Assist with the transportation of goods using commercial driving skills when necessary.
- Support repair tasks as needed, including minor repairs or troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during operation to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and freight movements.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate logistics and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment, or similar machinery in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Valid certification or licensing of a commercial driver’s license (Class 1-3) is a plus.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards related to heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery with precision and attention to safety guidelines.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Prior experience is mandatory.
Pay: $21.83-$30.00 per hour
