We are currently seeking a Skilled Labourer to join our production team and support a wide range of shop and yard operations. This role is best suited for someone with hands-on manufacturing experience, mechanical ability, and a strong interest in learning multiple areas of production.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in basic electrical installation projects, with opportunities for advancement and formal schooling
- Assist in basic metal fabrication projects, cutting steel, with opportunities for advancement and schooling
- Assist in non-structural welding projects, with opportunities for advancement and schooling
- Complete weld-finishing duties
- Perform cleaning, prep, and painting preparation tasks
- Perform minor painting tasks as directed
- Assist with brake and shear operations
- Help with insulating enclosures and installing perforated materials
- Assemble parts, hardware, and components
- Support general shop, yard, and production tasks as required
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on shop or manufacturing experience required
- Experience using power tools and shop equipment required
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Comfortable working with metal materials and fabrication support tasks
- Ability to lift 50 lbs safely
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Trade school, pre-apprenticeship, or mechanical/electrical training is considered an asset
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Shift:
Day shift, Monday to Thursday, 6AM - 430PM. 10-hour shifts, with overtime opportunities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
