Duties
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring freshness and presentation.
- Serve customers at the counter with a positive attitude, providing menu recommendations and upselling options to enhance their experience.
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process orders accurately and handle cash or card transactions with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, utensils, and food contact surfaces in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and minimize wait times for guests.
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, including proper storage, temperature control, and hygiene practices.
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environments with a strong understanding of the food industry standards.
- Proficiency in operating POS systems such as Micros POS for efficient cashiering and order processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and engage positively with guests.
- Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, giving accurate change, and managing transactions confidently.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to increase sales while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Kitchen experience or restaurant background preferred to understand food prep workflows and safety practices.
