Overview
The Vehicle Sales Analyst plays an integral role in supporting the accounting department. The job encompasses posting vehicle sales and other daily responsibilities in support of the accounting departments operations. The accuracy and efficiency of the work performed in this position is paramount.
Duties
- Responsible for ensuring vehicle sales records are complete and accurate.
- Record new and used vehicle sales into the Dealer Management System (“DMS”) software.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of vehicle sales types (retail, fleet, wholesale).
- Maintain a thorough understanding of vehicle financing (cash, finance, lease)
- Update and maintain dealer and customer records.
- Organize and file accounting department documents.
- Assist with the financial month end close by reviewing any discrepancies and resolving them under the direction of the Financial Controller.
- Other duties as assigned by the Financial Controller.
Personal Skills Required
- Minimum 1 year of bookkeeping experience
- Ability to easily adapt to different types of software
- Experience using Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel skills
- Self starter who likes working independently
- Inquisitive with proven problem solving skills
- Organized
- Reliable
- Experience in the automotive sales and service industry is an asset
