Harvey Studios is seeking dependable, personable, and motivated individuals to join our team as School Photographer's.
The successful candidates will travel to schools and photograph students and staff using company-provided cameras, lighting, backgrounds, and established posing guidelines. This position is well suited to someone who is organized, comfortable working with people, and able to maintain consistent quality in a fast-paced environment.
Previous professional photography experience is an asset, but is not required. Training will be provided, but applicants must be willing to practise, learn, and improve their photography skills.
Compensation
- $156 to $180 per day
- Paid mileage
- Paid food and lodging when required
Most assignments are 6 to 8 hours, resulting in an effective hourly rate that varies by assignment length. Starting pay is based on experience and qualifications.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Photograph students and staff in a school environment
- Set up and operate cameras, lighting, backgrounds, and related equipment
- Pose subjects according to Harvey Studios' photography standards
- Maintain a friendly, efficient, and professional photo session
- Upload completed images to our secure server
- Prepare and load equipment for the following day's assignment
- Travel regularly to schools and other job locations
- Handle equipment responsibly and report technical issues
Qualifications
- Friendly and professional when working with students, school staff, and coworkers
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Strong attention to detail and image consistency
- Comfortable working under pressure and managing a fast-paced schedule
- Willing to learn camera operation, lighting, posing, and basic troubleshooting
- Comfortable using computers and learning photography-related software
- Able to stand for extended periods and safely move photography equipment
- Willing to travel frequently
- Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Able to provide a satisfactory criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening.
Work Environment
Workdays, start times, and locations vary depending on school schedules. The position involves frequent travel, standing for extended periods, working with large groups of students, coordinating with other photographers on-site, and setting up photography equipment.
Pay: $156.00-$180.00 per day
