We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Ontario Region team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing incoming financial transactions, processing customer invoices and collections, and supporting daily administrative and banking activities.
This role plays a key part in maintaining the financial health of the organization by optimizing cash flow and building positive relationships with customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Accounts Receivable
· Generate, issue and track customer invoices for products and services rendered
· Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding invoices
· Process received payments, including cheques and credit cards, ensuring proper recording in accounting software
· Send out monthly statements to customers
· Assist in preparing monthly reports on collections and outstanding invoices
· Perform any other duties as assigned.
Banking Activities
· Manage bank deposits and ensure accurate reporting of daily transactions
· Handle inquiries related to banking and payment issues
· Perform any other duties as assigned.
Administrative Support
· Manage phone system and calls
· Maintain inventory and office supply levels, ordering as needed
· Coordinate couriers as required
· Assist in maintaining truck logbook entries, vehicle inspection spreadsheets, ownership documents, MTO license stickers, and fuel cards
· Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· College diploma or equivalent experience is preferred
· 2-4 years in Accounts Receivable preferred
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Concur, Acumatica, SAP, Microsoft Office)
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
· Must be team-oriented
· Self-motivated, proactive, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
· Strong computer skills and the ability to adapt to new software programs
