POSITION OVERVIEW
Citymax Properties Inc. is seeking an experienced Restoration / Mitigation Technician to assist on water damage and insurance restoration projects throughout the Lower Mainland on a contract, per-job basis.
We are specifically looking for someone with strong experience working with insurance-related restoration claims, insurance adjusters, moisture documentation, and the Encircle app. The ideal candidate must be comfortable managing the documentation side of restoration projects in addition to field mitigation work.
This role is best suited for an experienced individual who understands insurance restoration workflows and can professionally handle all aspects of mitigation documentation, moisture readings, and claim file organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend water damage and restoration job sites
- Perform moisture inspections and moisture mapping
- Take and document moisture readings
- Identify affected and potentially concealed moisture areas
- Use and manage the Encircle app for:
- creating and organizing claims
- room-by-room documentation
- moisture logs
- equipment tracking
- drying reports
- photo documentation
- floor plan/sketch documentation
- claim file management
- Setup, monitor, and document drying equipment including:
- dehumidifiers
- air movers
- air scrubbers
- Perform selective demolition of affected materials where required, including:
- drywall
- laminate flooring
- insulation
- cabinetry
- baseboards
- other water-damaged materials
- Assist with containment setup, demolition cleanup, and site protection
- Communicate professionally with:
- insurance adjusters
- property managers
- homeowners
- tenants
- Assist in preparing professional insurance documentation and mitigation reports
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe job sites
- Work independently while representing Citymax professionally on-site
EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
- Previous restoration / mitigation industry experience required
- Strong understanding of insurance restoration procedures
- Experience working directly with insurance adjusters preferred
- Must be highly familiar with all major functions of the Encircle app
- Experience creating and managing insurance claim files within Encircle
- Knowledge of moisture mapping and structural drying procedures
- Experience taking and documenting moisture readings
- Comfortable performing selective demolition work
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be dependable, organized, and professional
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- IICRC WRT Certification preferred
- Knowledge of IICRC S500 standards and water mitigation procedures preferred
- Additional IICRC certifications considered an asset
COMPENSATION
- Contract / subcontract position
- Paid on a per-job basis
- $45 per hour
- Flexible scheduling depending on project volume
