Nordic Minesteel Technologies Inc. is seeking a motivated and detailed-oriented Sales & Estimating Specialist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for supporting the sales process through estimating, proposal preparation, project coordination and customer relationship management. The successful candidate will work closely with sales, engineering, operations and purchasing teams to develop accurate quotations and ensure projects transition smoothly from proposal through execution.
This position requires both domestic and international travel to customer sites, pre-bid meetings, trade events and project-related meetings as required.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates including materials, labour, equipment, tooling, and subcontracted services.
- Review RFQs, technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation to develop detailed proposals.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, purchasing, and sales teams to gather required costing and scheduling information.
- Prepare and submit customer proposals within required timelines.
- Prepare 3D sales models
- Follow up on quotations and support the sales process through to project award.
- Conduct project kick-off meetings and support smooth handoff between departments.
- Maintain project documentation, proposal files, and ERP system records.
- Attend customer meetings, pre-bid meetings, and site visits as required.
- Support development of new business opportunities and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Deliver professional presentations and technical discussions with customers.
- Monitor shared sales inboxes and ensure timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Travel domestically and internationally to support customers, projects, and business development initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Engineering knowledge and experience working within a technical or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks for reviewing models, drawings, and supporting technical proposal development.
- Ability to work closely with engineering teams to support custom equipment and product development initiatives.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in estimating, sales support, project coordination, or a related technical role.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant technical, engineering, business, or related field.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, mining equipment, heavy industrial equipment, or custom fabrication environments is considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, 3D models, and project documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.

- Experience preparing technical proposals and quotations.
- Knowledge of estimating software and project scheduling practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to coordinate across multiple departments and stakeholders.
- Experience within mining, industrial equipment, or heavy manufacturing sectors is an asset.
