Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have experience in vehicle collision repair and bodywork. This role involves restoring vehicles to their original condition with precision and care, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety. Prior dealership experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued, along with proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools. The Auto Body Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall quality and efficiency of our repair services.
Duties
- Assess vehicle damage and develop repair plans in accordance with industry standards
- Remove damaged panels and parts using hand tools and power tools
- Repair or replace body panels, frames, and structural components as needed
- Perform sanding, grinding, filling, and priming to prepare surfaces for painting
- Apply paint, decals, or protective coatings to restore vehicles’ appearance
- Use specialized equipment to straighten bent frames or align vehicle structures
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with other technicians and staff to complete repairs within designated timeframes
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician or similar role; dealership experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair processes
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized bodywork equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
- Knowledge of automotive repair techniques, including collision repair and refinishing
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
