SUMMARY
The Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor will administer and promote health, safety and wellness programs for the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Health, Safety, Environment & Wellness
-
Oversee investigation and reporting of health & safety and environmental issues and hazards and use root cause analysis in support of incident management and resolution
-
Maintain statistics on a monthly or quarterly basis (Incidents Reports)
-
Report andmonitoron lost time incidents, prepare and file required documentation in partnership with Human Resources and management
-
Prepare and perform company HSE audits
-
Collaborate in company’s external inspections
-
Review and follow upofmonthly inspections
-
Develop and implement initiatives to promote the health,safetyand wellbeing of employees
2. Collaboration
-
First point of contact for the health & safety mailbox
-
Answer inquiriesin a timely mannerandappropriate languageas per original request
-
Support the activities and responsibilities of the various health and safety committees
-
Advise on preventative and corrective measures across the organization
-
Coordinate return to work programs including modified duties and resulting accommodations in collaboration with Human Resources and management
-
Collaborate with the different functional experts tomaintainand develop HSEprocedures
-
Coach HSE representatives tomaintaina safe work environment
3. Communication & Training
-
Identifyenvironmental, health and safety based training and re-certification requirements and ensure compliance to requirements

Lead HSE employee onboarding
-
Maintain and promote the HSE SharePoint site
-
Champion health and safety through awareness communication and wellness initiatives
-
Create promotional communication to foster wellness at work
4. Compliance

Assistingwith updating and revising Company Procedures, Policies and Safety Programs asrequired

Identifyand support the business with the resolution of safety related regulatory compliance issues
-
Maintaininformationpertaining toHSE incidents and training in employee files as per internal procedures

REQUIREMENTS

2. Educational/ Experience Requirement

Bilingual, both written and oral in English and French.

Post-secondary Degree in Health and Safety or a combination of experience and training as applicable

Environmental, Health and Safety experience and knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Office 365 tools
